Orcas are the most widely distributed animal on the earth (apart from man) and are found in every ocean in the world. Whales have existed a thousand times longer than humans, although we both evolved from the same terrestrial ancestor. In fact, orcas still retain the remnants of hand, arm, and leg bones in their bodies.

Although they are often called killer whales, orcas are actually the largest member of the dolphin family. Dolphins are classified as toothed whales, like beluga and sperm whales. Whale experts believe that there may be three different species of orca that avoid each other and never interbreed.
